I have been a patient at Greystone for over 10 years along with my children. The surgery is well positioned in the town and offers excellent services to patients. I use the online service for booking appointments with the doctor or nurse but also for repeat prescriptions. The reception staff are very courteous and always more than happy to assist with answering questions. The surgery facilities are well thought through providing toys & books for children, space to move around for people with less mobility, plenty of comfortable seating and information boards to allow patients to stay informed of services in the community that may be of help to them. A great surgery, well managed and a good atmosphere.

Today I attended a flu clinic as I am over 65. One hour had been put aside to undertake this task. No appointment was needed. On arrival I could see that a large number of people were already waiting in a seated queue and I wondered if my turn would come before needing to rush off to do the school run. No worries! An extremely efficient system was in place, run by an unassuming but very friendly lady, who ensured that everyone was sat down in order and completed a form to take into the nurse who administered the jab. I was amazed how quickly my turn came round. Each person in their turn was then asked to stand outside one the rooms set aside for the task, six I think, and when the previous patient emerged I was in and out in around 30 seconds! Well done Greystones! I have been a patient with you since 1973, and have enjoyed continuous high quality care throughout that time. I love your on line system to make appointments and obtain repeat prescriptions, and it is interesting to read about your people and see their pictures! Thank you so much.

Very friendly reception staff, desk or phone. Doctors never seem to try and get rid of you. All the nurses great as well. Helpful to be able to get Telephone appointments. Safes time at both ends. I have nothing bad to say. Thank you for your service.

Overall my experience of the practice has been good. However, I feel that an area that could be improved is the signing on of new patients, especially those whose first language is not English. To ask the receptionists to deal with this during busy surgery times is not acceptable. Obviously it takes time to complete the paperwork etc. and in the meantime there are other patients waiting to book appointments, collect prescriptions etc. These new patients should be dealt with in a quiet room where there is no pressure and plenty of time to answer their questions and deal with the paperwork. I hope this comment is useful.

The care I received for my daughter at Greystone House today was excellent. I phoned up at 8.30 in the morning and the receptionist offered us a choice of appointments for the same day. The surgery was clean and our appointment was on time. The GP we saw was thorough and spent time explaining his diagnosis and the treatment being offered, and in particular he took time to speak to my daughter and reassure her. Overall, a very positive experience.
